The First Missouri State Capital State Historic Site in St. Charles, MO is hosting its event ‘Making Missouri: Celebrating our Diversity’ on Wednesday, October 17th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Since the late 1700s, Missouri has become the home for a variety of ethnic groups traveling westward. The gateway beyond the Mississippi River saw travelers and immigrants from all over the world.

This educational event shares the histories and promotes different groups who settled in Missouri. Hundreds of visitors arrive each year to learn about Missouri’s diverse history. The society is taking part in this wonderful event and if you’d like to volunteer at our booth, message us on our Contact page or email our Communications Director, Thomas Richardson, at ssas.thistle.times@gmail.com.
