The second lecture of the speaker series will be given by Jamie McGeechan on Ayrshire, Robert Burns, and being the first to record Burns’ work in the Burns Cottage.

A social hour with cocktails & Hors d’Oeuvres will begin at 6:00 pm followed by the lecture at 7:00 pm. The Saint Louis Club (7701 Forsyth Blvd, Clayton, MO 63105 (14th Floor: Founders’ Room & St Vrain Room) is in Tower One of the Piere Laclede Center on the northwest corner of Hanley and Forsyth in Clayton. Surface and garage parking is available in any of the Pierre Laclede Center parking garages or lots. We recommend the garage entrance on Forsyth closest to Hanley Road – the very first possible right turn you can make on Forsyth coming from Hanley. The Club will validate your parking ticket.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be in the St Vrain Room on the 14th floor and the lecture will be in the Founders Room. A sign in the lobby by the elevator bank will direct you to the correct room. This will be a ticketed event and tickets can be purchased from our online store located above. Pre-purchased drinks tickets will be in an envelope upon arrival for cocktails. Drinks may be taken into the room for the lecture.

$15 per Lecture/Hors d’oeuvres Ticket (includes water and soft drinks)

All tickets (lecture and alcohol) must be purchased in advance by midnight the Sunday before the lecture. 

Lecture tickets include hors d’oeuvres, water, and soda as well as the lecture itself. 

Club rules prohibit the exchange of money on Club premises which is why drink tickets must be purchased in advance and cannot be purchased on site. 

The St. Louis Club also maintains a dress code of Business Casual: business-denim-friendly (meaning dark denim with no rips, shreds or frays), collared shirts for men, comparable attire for women, no athletic shoes and no athletic attire, please.

Tickets are available on the Society’s web site, www.stlstandrews.com, in the Store. 

Pre-purchased drinks tickets will be in an envelope upon arrival for cocktails.  Drinks may be taken into the room for the lecture.
