The second session of our speaker series will take place on March 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The evening’s speaker is Dr. Jim McLaren, past society president and chairman of the St. Louis Scottish Games.
Dr. Jim McLaren is the founder and president of Strathkirn Inc., a consulting firm focused on biotechnology and other new technologies in the agriculture industry. Originally from East Lothian, Scotland, he obtained his B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Aberdeen and his Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from the University of Nottingham. Before founding Strathkirn, Dr. McLaren held various positions with Monsanto in Belgium before moving to St. Louis, where he managed significant research programs and subsequently led global product development projects.
